Spring Valley Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Milpitas, California.
Spring Valley Golf Course first opened for play in 1960. The course was designed by Ray Anderson.
Spring Valley Golf Course has extremely sloped and fast greens. The course was built on rolling terrain so there will be some uneven lies. The fairways are narrow and tree lined. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The signature hole is #11, a 182-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a very small green.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,073 yards. From the forward tees, Spring Valley Golf Course measures 5,599 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 6, a par-5 that plays to 508 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 171 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, the 508 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Spring Valley Golf Course is # 12, a 309 yard par-4.

Had a great day on a nice course. Last played it about 15 years ago and I'm sorry I waited so long.

This is a nice golf course that has some difficult greens. It has some very challenging holes, but almost no sand traps. For a public course it is a good value.

Not a bad course, but overpriced for the overall quality of the course. Better values in the area.

A good course for novice golfers. Not too difficult but the ambiance is great. The greens are small and difficult.

I play every Monday morning with a regular foursome at this course. The course is in great shape, a fair test for seniors (although short for low handicapers). The staff is wonderful, helpful and very friendly. I highly recommend it.

I think this course is just great. Fairly easy, so it boosts my ego and makes me think I'm a lot better than I really am. The staff is always very friendly; the conditions are very good and it's pretty level, so walking is easy. Always seems like a very lay-back crowd here. We had a ladies tourney in front of us, so it was a little slow, but I was happy to wait; I'm in no rush!

Fairly easy layout, greens had been punched. Would not have wanted to pay anymore than I did, glad I played it on a weekday and not the higher priced weekend. There are much better courses within an hour's drive at the same or a slightly higher price I would rather play.

Pace of play compromised by having a par 3 on hole 2 and another on hole 4. Very bad backups to start the round. Course could use more traps (only a handful in play). You should include a rating option for practice facilities. The range stalls are too narrow and the short game area needs to be completely overhauled. On the positive, there is very pleasant surrounding hills. Wildlife and domestive farm animals surrounding as well as hang gliders in the distance. Easy walk (don't bother with a cart) as well. If there were a few better deals, I'd play it more often just for the ambience.

This was a good course for me. Any trouble was managable. The cons were that the course had a lot of bare/hard ground even on the fairways and the greens were recently punched.

Greens were bumpy making putting difficult, otherwise the course was in good condition.

I've played this course with a lot of different players and the consensus opinion on this course is: 1. The course offers a lot of variety, which makes it fun to play. 2. The greens offer the biggest challenge. Lots of slope, complex undulations, and optical illusions. But they are really well maintained, so they also give you a true roll. 3. This is a mountain course, but it is walkable. 4. The scenery is a real plus. Mountains, views of the valley, wildlife, even hang gliding and horseback riding, all within view. The pace of play is generally good on weekdays. But on the weekends it can slow down. That pretty much is par for the course around here.
